Workflow Overview
Our process begins with capturing high-resolution aerial imagery using drone platforms. The collected images are processed through photogrammetry software such as DJI Terra or RealityCapture to generate accurate Digital Surface Models (DSMs) and orthomosaics. These outputs serve as the foundation for volumetric analysis.
The DSMs and orthomosaics are then imported into Virtual Surveyor, where we define precise boundaries around areas of interest—such as stockpiles, excavation sites, or grading zones. By establishing these boundaries, we can perform detailed volume calculations and generate cut/fill reports that are essential for project planning and management.

Accuracy & Limitations
Our volumetric analyses are based on photogrammetric data and are suitable for planning and monitoring purposes. While we strive for high accuracy, factors such as vegetation cover, surface texture, and image quality can affect results. For projects requiring survey-grade precision, we recommend incorporating Ground Control Points (GCPs) or using RTK-enabled drones to enhance accuracy.
